Thursday, June 7th, 1973: Fryman Pitches New York to Shutout Victory
Fans at Yankee Stadium II witnessed the Yankees blank the Rangers behind a superb effort by Woodie Fryman. The New York pitcher allowed 2 hits in recording the shutout.

Currently Fryman has a record of 6-3 with 62 strikeouts and 40 walks in 92.1 innings and a 2.73 ERA.
Wednesday, June 6th, 1973: New York Blanks Rangers, Stottlemyre at His Best
Yankee Stadium II played host to a command performance by Mel Stottlemyre of the New York Yankees. In shutting out Texas 6-0, Stottlemyre limited the Rangers to 4 hits. The 31-year-old hurler also fanned 4 and walked 4 in capturing the victory.
